WTC Final 2023: Australia could add just 142 runs to their overnight total of 327/3 but the 469-run first innings total very well created pressure on the minds of the India openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill. Both the right-hand batters departed inside the first seven overs.
Captain Rohit Sharma was trapped in front of the stumps by his Australian counterpart Pat Cummins on the final ball of the sixth over. In walked Cheteshwar Pujara and a partnership between Gill and him was expected.

However, On the fourth ball of the seventh over, Scott Boland bowled a delivery outside off as Gill had a brainfade moment opting to leave the ball. However, it nipped inwards to hit the top of off stump.
