As Australia begin preparations for the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final against India, the men from Down Under led by Pat Cummins will be eager to put their past struggles at The Oval behind them when they face Rohit Sharma's men.
In over 140 years of Test cricket in England, Australia have had one of the worst records at The Oval, which will host the WTC Final 2023 from June 7 to 11 between the top two Test sides.

Australia, who played at The Oval in 1880 in what was the first-ever Test in England, have managed just 7 wins from 38 Tests at the famous South London venue, leaving their success rate at the venue at 18.42%, their poorest across England.
Australia have also won just twice in the past 50 years at The Oval. Overall, they have lost 17 Tests and drawn 14 times against England at the Kenning Oval so far.
In the recent clash at the Oval, Australia suffered a 135-run loss to England in Ashes 2019. In 2015 Ashes, however, the Australians secured an innings and 46 runs victory over England.
There have been several memorable performances by Australian players at the venue from legends like Sir Donald Bradman and Shane Warne, while the likes of Steve Smith and Justin Langer also have hundreds at the venue.
Australia also have many Ashes memories at the venue although they have not won as much here compared to the other venues. Here is a look at Australia's Test record at the Kennington Oval ahead of WTC Final vs India:
