WTC Final: As Australia won the World Test Championship Final (WTC Final) by beating India by 209 runs at The Oval in London. India needed 288 runs with seven wickets remaining on the final Day 5 of the match, but the Indian innings collapsed soon after Virat Kohli departed for 49.

India could add just 70 runs to their overnight score of 164/3 as Scott Boland and Nathan Lyon picked three and four wickets each in the second innings. Apart from Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane (46), no batter from India crossed the 30-run mark.

Earlier, Australia piled up 469 runs in the first innings before bundling out India for 296. India were set a 444-run target as Australia declared their second innings on 270/8.
