As Team India prepare to take on Australia at The Oval in London from Wednesday (June 7), Rohit Sharma led side will look emulate the recent result at the venue when they take on the Pat Cummins' side in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) Final 2023.
India registered a 157-run victory over hosts England in their last outing at the Oval, where they have won only one other match in a total of 14 Tests at the venue. India has suffered 5 defeats and drawn 7 Tests since their first match at the venue way back in 1936.

Several Indian players, including current head coach Rahul Dravid, have had memorable knocks at the venue, but most of those innings have been in drawn Tests or a losing cause. Only Rohit's hundred last time out was in a winning cause.
Dravid also leads the charts when it comes to most runs by an Indian batter at the venue and also has the most hundreds by an Indian. Recently even, Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul had struck centuries at the venue. But Team India will miss the duo in the WTC final due to injury.
Shardul Thakur also happy memory from the venue, having contributed both with bat and ball in India's last outing at the Kenning Oval, where his fifty in both the innings were crucial alongside Rohit's hundred.
