WTC Final 2023: Shardul Thakur gave India a crucial breakthrough and broke the second-wicket stand for 69 runs between David Warner and Marnus Labuschagne by dismissing the former for 43 on the fourth ball of the 22nd over.
Mohammed Siraj dismissed Usman Khawaja for a 10-ball duck in the fourth over of the match, however, Warner and Labuschagne held their ground, showed tremendous temperament and applied themselves beautifully to put India under pressure.

Rohit Sharma, who had opted to bowl first keeping in mind the overcast conditions at the Oval in London, was visibly tense on the field. India's third pacer - Umesh Yadav was taken to the cleaners and was hit for 27 runs in six overs.
With the sun also out now, India were in dire need of wicket and like always Shardul Thakur rolled his "golden arm" once again and got rid of Warner to give India a sigh of relief.
On the fourth ball of the 22nd over, a short delivery from Shardul was drifting down the leg side as the 36-year-old attempted to guide it towards long leg, but ended up generating a thin edge which was caught beautifully by wicket-keeper KS Bharat who moved swiftly to his left.
Here's how Twitter has reacted to Shardul Thakur again giving India a crucial breakthrough in a crucial match.
