India captain Rohit Sharma has a clear blueprint ahead of him as the team prepares for the World Test Championship (WTC) Final against Australia.
The final of the WTC 2023 starts on Wednesday (June 7) at the Oval and it will be a monumental match for the Indian team, who are in search of an ICC trophy for a long time now. The last time India won an ICC trophy was Champions Trophy back in 2013, and a win at the Oval will end a decade-long wait for them.

India captain Rohit Sharma is going to lead India in his second ICC tournament as captain, and the batter has revealed his aim as an India captain.
Ahead of the WTC Final pre-match press conference, Sharma revealed he wants to win at least a couple of ICC trophies during his stint as India captain.
"I have gotten the job to take the Indian cricket forward and win as many games and championships as possible. That's what you play for - win some titles and extra ordinary series," Sharma said on Tuesday (June 6) in the press conference.
Upon being asked about his aims as an Indian captain, Sharma revealed his wish to win 1 or 2 ICC trophies.
"It will be nice if I can win 1-2 ICC championships as a captain," the India skipper added.
The Indian captain was asked about the possible playing 11 for the WTC Final, and Sharma played hardball to the question. The India captain said they would decide on the match day itself and insisted all the squad members are available for selection.
India are already missing some of the first team stars as Rishabh Pant, Jasprit Bumrah, KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer all are ruled out of WTC Final with injuries.
