WTC Final 2023: Watch - Sleeping Marnus Labuschagne wakes up abruptly after Siraj dismisses Warner early

WTC Final 2023: Australia batter Marnus Labuschagne had to abruptly wake up from his afternoon nap after Mohammed Siraj dismissed David Warner early on Day 3 of the ongoing World Test Championship final (WTC final) at The Oval in London.

On the third ball of the fourth over, a length delivery nipped away from Warner who edged the ball into the hands of wicket-keeper Srikar Bharat. Labuschagne, who was napping at that moment, woke up with a puzzled look on his face after the loud celebration from the Indian fans.

As soon as Labuschagne realised that a wicket had fallen, he hurriedly stood up from his chair. The number one Test batter, however, was napping with almost all his gears on. He soon arrived in the middle to join Usman Khawaja.

Have a look at the video:

Earlier, in the day, India finished their first innings at 296 after 89 off 129 from Ajinkya Rahane and 51 off 109 from Shardul Thakur.
