WTC Final 2023: Indian fans were left hurting after Rohit Sharma and Cheteshwar Pujara were dismissed in a span of six deliveries while chasing 444 runs in the final of the World Test Championship final (WTC Final) 2023 at The Oval on Saturday.
Rohit was dismissed while trying to execute an uncalled for sweep shot from a stump-to-stump line after Nathan Lyon was introduced in the 20th over. The batter was batting comfortably till then and had scored 43 brisk runs off just 59 deliveries.

Cheteshwar Pujara also followed Rohit six deliveries later on the fourth ball of the 20th over. The right-hand batter, who scored 27 off 47 balls, leaned back while trying to play an uppercut on a bouncer from Pat Cummins. However, he was cramped for room and as a result ended up edging the delivery into the hands of wicket-keeper Alex Carey.

With dismissal India were reduced 92/1 in 19.4 overs to 93/3 in 20.4 overs. With the WTC trophy slipping away, here's how fans reacted to the fall of Rohit and Pujara's wicket. Even Nasser Hussain blasted Rohit in the commentary box for not delivering for India in knockout matches.
