WTC Final 2025 Prize Money: How much will South Africa and Australia Earn as ICC announces Record Amount?

The ICC World Test Championship 2025 Final is set to be a historic clash between South Africa and Australia, scheduled from June 11 to 15, 2025, at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground in London.

This marks South Africa's maiden appearance in a WTC final, while Australia aims to defend their title after triumphing over India in 2023. The two nations will be fighting for the Test mace as they lock horns in the championship encounter.

For South Africa, this final represents an opportunity to secure their first ICC title since the 1998 Champions Trophy, potentially ending a 27-year wait. Australia, on the other hand, seeks to reinforce their dominance in Test cricket by clinching back-to-back WTC titles.

The ICC has announced a record total prize pool of USD 5.76 million for the WTC 2023–25 Final, more than double the amount from previous editions. This significant increase underscores the ICC's commitment to elevating the prestige of Test cricket on the global stage, as it was announced by ICC chairman Jay Shah on Thursday. In the first two editions, the winning team received USD 1.6 million while the runners-up were awarded USD 800,000.

Winners: USD 3.6 million (approx. Rs 30 crore)

Runners-up: USD 2.16 million (approx. Rs 18 crore)
