WTC Final: 'All-format great' - Australian team members reveal what they think about Virat Kohli

WTC Final: The members of the Australian team including Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne, Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc have tried describing Virat Kohli in a video posted by the ICC on Saturday.

The Indian superstar will be up against Australia in the final of the World Test Championship (WTC) from June 7 at The Oval in London. Kohli has a staggering record against Australia. In 24 Test matches against them, he has scored 1979 runs including eight hundreds, at an average of 48.26.

All-rounder Cameron Green called Kohli 'The Man of India', while his contemporary Steve Smith called him a "superstar" who loves playing against Australia.

“The man of India, that he has been for quite a while and he’s been leading the team for the last decade basically and being so successful," Green said.

“He’s been a superstar for a long time, loves playing against Australia, often scores runs against us, but hopefully we can keep him quiet this week," said Smith.

David Warner, who is eyeing to end his Test career on a high, praised Kohli for his world-famous cover drive. While Usman Khawaja called Kohli "competitive", the likes of Labuschagne, Starc and captain Cummins also talked highly of Kohli.

"Unbelievable cover drive," Warner said.

"One of the greats. I mean all-format great. Hopefully, not so great this week," Labushchagne said.

"Very skillful. Have dominated for a long time. Backbone of the middle-order," Starc added.

"Good player. Always seems up for a fight," Cummins concluded.

The players from both the teams have arrived in London and are training hard ahead of the all-important WTC final. Former Australia captain Ricky Ponting recently said that Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara would be major threats for Cummins' side.
