The Indian team will be taking on Australia in the World Test Championship 2023 Final which starts at the Oval from June 7.

KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Jasprit Bumrah, Shreyas Iyer are already ruled out of the WTC final as the Indian team prepares to end their decade-long wait for an ICC trophy.

But there is good news for the India fans and team management as Jaydev Unadkat has successfully recovered from his injury and will join the India team.

Unadkat was doubtful with a shoulder injury for Lucknow Super GIants in the ongoing IPL season. He sustained the problem during a LSG practice session, and was subsequently sent to NCA after consultation with BCCI.

And the left-arm pacer shared positive news on Sunday (May 28), when he confirmed his departure to London to join the Indian team.

'WTC!', the India bowler captioned in an Instagram post, with a picture of him inside a flight which is understood to be London-bound. Unadkat is expected to join his Indian teammates on Monday.

Virat Kohli, Shardul Thakur, Umesh Yadav and Ravichandran Ashwin are among the players who have already reached London and are in preparation for the upcoming clash against Australia. India are playing their second WTC Final in a row and will be aiming to win this time.

In the previous edition in 2021, India lost the WTC Final against New Zealand. The remaining set of India players are set to join by the early part of next week. India captain Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan and others are expected to be the final set of players who will depart for England.
