WTC Final: The ICC announced the list of match officials for the second World Test Championship (WTC) final between India and Australia from June 7 at The Oval in London. Officials from England, New Zealand, Sri Lanka and the West Indies will combine together to officiate the match.
Chris Gaffaney of New Zealand and Richard Illingworth of England will be the two on-field umpires for the marquee clash between Rohit Sharma and Pat Cummins' team. They will be supported by England's Richard Kettleborough, who has been appointed as the TV umpire.

Notably, Kettleborough was also the TV umpire for the 2021 World Test Championship Final between India and New Zealand at Southampton. Further, Sri Lanka's Kumar Dharmasena will act as the fourth umpire. Richie Richardson of the West Indies has been appointed as the match referee.
"Both Gaffaney and Illingworth are highly experienced at the international level, being members of the Emirates ICC Elite Panel of Umpires. The clash at The Oval will be Gaffaney's 49th Test match while Illingworth will be officiating his 64th Test," ICC said in its release.

The Indian players have started to arrive in London and are training under the watchful eyes of head coach Rahul Dravid. Captain Rohit Sharma left for the UK on Sunday with Yashasvi Jaiswal who has been named as a replacement for standby opener Ruturaj Gaikwad.
Former India captain Virat Kohli has also reached London after the ouster of his team Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) from the IPL 2023. Mohammed Shami, Ravindra Jadeja, Ajinkya Rahane and Shubman Gill are expected to leave on May 30. All these players will be featuring in the IPL 2023 final on Monday, May 29.
