WTC standings saw an alteration after a thrilling day of Test cricket action in Bribane and Hyderabad as visiting teams stunned home teams, who were firm favourites to win the respective Test matches.
Sunday (January 28) a day for the Test match enthusiasts started with West Indies stunning Australia with a 8-run win at the Gabba in Brisbane on the penultimate day of the second Test to draw the two-match series 1-1.

Meanwhile, England ended the day by upsetting India with a 28-run win at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad also on the fourth day of the first of the five-match series to go 1-0 up.
In both the matches, the team chasing could not cross the final hurdle, falling short of their targets. West Indies dominated the Test right from day one after they opted to bat first in the Pink Ball game, while England bounced back from first innings failure to stun the hosts.
Following the two results, there was a little movement in the WTC standings for the 2023-25 cycle as India slipped to fifth spot from second, while West Indies jumped a position in the points table.
Even though Steve Smith stayed unbeaten in the second inning to score 91 runs off 146 balls, his effort went in vain as the Aussies failed to reach the 216-run target after falling to Shamar Joseph's pace.
The pacer, who made a fantastic debut in the series opener, was doubtful of bowling on day 4, but returned on the morning to end the second inning with fiery figures of 7/68 and was also named the 'Player of the Match'.
The first win in the 2023-24 cycle for West Indies saw them move into seventh with a win percentage of 33.33 from 4 Tests, while Australia remained on top despite the loss with a win percentage of 55.00 in 10 Tests, winning six, drawing one and three defeats.
In Hyderabad, Ollie Pope's blitz helped England set a tricky target of 231. In reply, India batters strived hard after losing a handful of wickets in patches to Tom Hartley.
The lower order showed patience with Ravichandran Ashwin and KS Bharat taking the fight against the spinners. However, Hartley's spin proved to be a challenge that they could not overcome and ended up suffering a 28-run defeat.
With the loss, India fell to fifth spot with a win percentage of 43.33. They have two wins and two defeats along with a draw in their five matches so far, while England remained on eighth with a win percentage of 29.16 from six matches, winning 3, losing 2 and drawing one.
