India has seen some great batsmen make their mark in Test cricket so far. However, only one player has been able to etch his name in the top five batters that scored the highest runs in their first 10 career Test matches.
The 22-year-old Yashasvi Jaiswal overtook Mark Taylor in the fourth place to become not the only Indian player, but the only Asian player on this list. He achieved this feat during the recently ended India vs Bangladesh 1st Test match.

The youngster made his Test debut back in 2023 and his consistent performance since then has earned him place in India's Test matches continuously. Hscored 56 in the first innings and scored 10 in the second innings in the IND vs BAN test match.

In his first 10 Test matches, Mark Taylor scored a total of 1088 runs. The Australian legend retired from Test cricket back in 1999. In his entire career, he played a total of 104 Test matches and scored 7525 runs, at an average of 43.49.
4. Yashasvi Jaiswal
The only Indian and Asian player, Yashasvi Jaiswal overtook Mark Taylor by scoring 1094 runs in his career's first 10 Test matches with his runs in the recent IND vs BAN 1st Test match. With that, he also became the second-highest scorer in the ongoing WTC cycle.
3. George Headley
Another former cricketer, George Headley from West Indies occupied the third place in this list with 1102 runs from his first 10 Test matches. In his entire career, he scored a total of 2190 runs that included 10 centuries from 22b Test matches, ending career at an average of 60.83.
2. Everton Weekes
Another West Indies cricketer, Weeks precede his senior countryman, Headley. He scored 1125 runs in his first 10 career Test matches. In his career, he scored a total of 4455 runs that included 15 centuries from 48 Test matches.
1. Donald Bradman
The Australian legend, Donald or popularly known as Don Bradman takes the first place with 1446 runs from his first 10 Test matches. He played a total of 52 Test matches in his Test career which ended in 1948 and scored a total of 6996 runs, averaging at 99.94.
