India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has been drafted into Mumbai's squad for their crucial Ranji Trophy semifinal clash against Vidarbha, providing a significant boost to the domestic powerhouse.
Mumbai secured their semifinal berth with an emphatic 152-run victory over Haryana in the quarterfinals at Kolkata on Tuesday. With Jaiswal's inclusion, the team gains a dynamic opening batsman who has recently impressed on the international stage.

Jaiswal, who made his ODI debut against England in Nagpur last week, scoring 15, was with the Indian team in Ahmedabad for the third and final match of the series.
Although he was initially named in India's preliminary squad for the ICC Champions Trophy, Jaiswal was not included in the final list. However, he remains one of the non-traveling substitutes for the tournament, along with all-rounder Shivam Dube and pacer Mohammed Siraj, meaning he will only fly to Dubai if required.
Although it may come as a disappointment for the young southpaw, it opens up an opportunity for him to shine in the high-voltage Ranji encounter. Jaiswal played for Mumbai in their recent group stage match against Jammu and Kashmir but failed to score big runs, a trait he will be keen to change.
The upcoming semifinal between Mumbai and Vidarbha is a rematch of last season's Ranji Trophy final, where Mumbai emerged victorious to clinch their record-extending 42nd title. With experienced campaigners like Ajinkya Rahane and Suryakumar Yadav in the squad, Mumbai will look to assert their dominance once again.
Ajinkya Rahane (Captain), Ayush Mhatre, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Amogh Bhatkal, Suryakumar Yadav, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Siddhesh Lad, Shivam Dube, Akash Anand (WK), Hardik Tamore (WK), Suryansh Shedge, Shardul Thakur, Shams Mulani, Tanush Kotian, Mohit Avasthi, Sylvester Dsouza, Royston Dias, Atharva Ankolekar, Harsh Tanna.
