Opening batter Yashasvi Jaiswal has reportedly been ruled of Mumbai's Ranji Trophy semi-final meeting against Vidarbha, which is scheduled to be played at Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) Stadium in Nagpur from Monday (February 17).
Jaiswal was picked in the Mumbai Ranji Trophy squad for the last four clash after being drafted in as only a reserve in the Indian Champions Trophy 2025 squad, but the flamboyant opener is set to miss the domestic tournament semi-final clash due to an ankle injury.

According to a report in Times of India, Jaiswal will play no part in the domestic match due to left ankle pain and will travel to the BCCI's Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru for further assessment and treatment.
"Jaiswal has been ruled out of the Ranji Trophy semifinals clash as he is suffering from a left ankle pain. He fielded in Mumbai's practice session today (Sunday) at Nagpur but looked uncomfortable while batting in the nets. It is an old injury which has recurred. He has to leave for the BCCI's Centre of excellence tomorrow to start his recovery process," TOI quoted a source as saying.
This injury, which is yet to be officially confirmed, also casts doubt over the 23-year-old's participation in the Champions Trophy 2025, which is set to begin on Wednesday (February 19) with Team India set to play a day later in Dubai.
The youngster, who made his One Day International debut against England at the start of the month, was also part of India's preliminary squad for the Champions Trophy, but was later omitted from the final list with the team management preferring an extra spinner in the form of Varun Chakravarthy.
Jaiswal made 15 off 22 balls in his only ODI appearance before being dropped from the next two matches of the three-match series against England. While he was excluded from the final squad for the Champions Trophy, Jaiswal still featured among three non-travelling reserves alongside Shivam Dube and Mohammed Siraj.
Now, there is a chance Jaiswal could also be ruled out of the Champions Trophy if the injury is serious, leaving his reserve spot open for another player. Jaiswal made only one appearance this season in Ranji Trophy which came during the defeat to Jammu & Kashmir.
