It was the third last-ball thriller in the IPL 2023 as the match finished on the final ball of the match. Delhi with thus lost their fourth game on the bounce while Mumbai Indians tasted first victory in season 16.

Rohit Sharma, the Mumbai captain, was awarded the player of the match for his match-winning knock of 65 off 45 balls. Young Tilak Varma also played a valuable knock of 41.

For Delhi, Axar Patel scored 54 of 25 balls while captain David Warner scored a slow 51 off 47 balls. Veteran spinner Piyush Chawla and left-arm pacer Jason Behrendorf picked up three wickets for Mumbai.

Lucknow Super Giants created history by pulling off the biggest run chase in the IPL 2023 as they defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by one wicket at M Chinnaswamy in a last-ball thriller.

Chasing a target of 213, Lucknow Super Giants reached home with one ball to spare as the KL Rahul-led side won the match by taking a single on the final ball of the match.

Nicholas Pooran (62 off 19) and Marcus Stoinis (65 off 30) scored sensational half-centuries to help Lucknow Super Giants pull off one of the most memorable run chases on a surface which is a batter's paradise and bowler's graveyard.

Gujrat Titans tasted their first defeat of the season as they lost to Kolkata Knight Riders in a match that looked theirs to take. The antagonist for them turned out to be Rinku Singh, who smashed five sixes with GT defending 30 runs in the last over.

KKR incredibly ended up chasing 205 runs with Venkatesh Iyer and Nitish Rana also making substantial contributions. The match also saw a hat-trick by GT's stand-in captain Rashid Khan go to waste.

The second match saw PBKS Shikhar Dhawan score a lone-standing 99* to see his side go down to the Sunrisers with batter Rahul Tripathi and spinner Mayank Markande doing the star turn.
