Yesterday (May 28) was the Final of the IPL 2023 season. Chennai Super Kings were supposed to lock horns against Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

CSK qualified for the IPL Final after winning the Qualifier 1 victory over Gujarat Titans. Although GT lost the first playoff match, then they came roaring back against Mumbai Indians in the Qualifier 2 tie.

Yesterday's IPL 2023 Match Result: IPL Final CSK vs GT

The match was supposed to start at 7.30 pm IST on Sunday (May 28). But it was an unfortunate occasion at the Narendra Modi stadium as the sky opened up and rained cats and dogs in Ahmedabad. The rain started at about 5 pm in the evening and it continued for the next six hours or so.

The IPL 2023 Final was supposed to have the final cut-off time of 12.06 am IST yesterday (early hours of Today), but the rain continued till 11 pm and beyond, resulting in the postponement of the Final on Sunday. Not a single ball was bowled on the night.

What happens to IPL 2023 Final now?

The IPL 2023 final does have a reserve day. Hence the grand encounter has been deferred a day and will take place today (Monday, May 29). The fans can enter with yesterday's ticket but will have to carry the physical ticket today as well.

When will the IPL 2023 Final between CSK and GT be played?

The IPL 2023 final will start at 7.30 pm IST today at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad. It will be a complete 20 overs match provided there won't be any rain interruption. As there was no ball bowled and the toss also couldn't take place, the match will start afresh today (Monday, May 29).

This is also the first-ever IPL final which has entered a reserve day. CSK and GT will be up against again on Monday for the IPL glory.
