New Delhi, April 7: Yuvraj Singh's father Yograj Singh has continued his verbal attack on India captain MS Dhoni and has called him "arrogant" and drew camparisons with Ravana, the demon king in epic Ramayana. (Yuvraj reacts after his dad's comments)
This is not the first time Yograj has lashed out at Dhoni. Recently he had blamed the Indian skipper for not picking his son in the 2015 World Cup squad. (Was Dhoni behind Yuvraj's ouster?)
Now, Yograj, himself a former India Test cricketer, has done it again in an interview to a Hindi news channel "India News".
Yograj described Dhoni as a "terrible person" and said he will "suffer some day" just like Ravana.
He said Dhoni had become "God in cricket" because of media and if he was a journalist he would have slapped the wicketkeeper-batsman.
"If I was a journalist, I would have slapped Dhoni," Yograj told the news channel.
He went on to curse Dhoni, who led India to 2011 World Cup victory. Yograj said the captain will be "left to beg and become penniless".
Both Dhoni and Yuvraj are now preparing for the 8th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL 8). Yuvraj was bought for a record Rs 16 crores by Delhi Daredevils. Dhoni is the captain of Chennai Super Kings. IPL 8 starts tomorrow (April 8).
