Bengaluru, Oct 15: India's left-arm fast bowler Zaheer Khan will announce his retirement today (October 15), according to Indian Premier League (IPL) chairman Rajeev Shukla.

"Zaheer khan to announce his retirement today My best wishes to him for post retirement carrier (sic)," Shukla tweeted on Thursday morning.
"Hope Zaheer khan will keep on playing Ipl. Zaheer has been my most favourite bowler since 2002 when I was manager of team india on England tour," he added.
The 37-year-old Zaheer played 92 Tests, 200 ODIs, 17 T20Is for India. He made his Test debut against Bangladesh in 2000. His ODI debut came against Australia, also in the year 2000.
Zaheer last played for India in February 2014 against New Zealand in a Test. He has 311 Test and 282 ODI scalps. In T20Is, he took 17 wickets.
