Lanka T10 League organizers on Saturday (December 14) issued a statement following reports of a team owner's arrest for alleged involvement in match-fixing during the tournament.
An Indian national who owns a franchise in the Lanka T10 League was arrested by Sri Lanka's sports police earlier this week. Prem Thakur was arrested on Thursday (December 12) for match-fixing in the Lanka T10 league being played in the central district of Kandy's Pallekele stadium.

After reports emerged of the arrest of the Galle Marvels team's owner, the consortium partners, TTen Global League and IPG, issued a statement on the same through their Media and Communications Head, Umar Farooq.
"We uphold a strict zero-tolerance policy towards corruption in cricket. Our commitment to safeguarding the integrity of the sport remains unwavering, and we will extend full cooperation to the authorities in their ongoing investigation," the statement read.
"The league management is dedicated to protecting the rights of players and officials while ensuring the smooth and transparent operation of the tournament." The Lanka T10 Super League inaugural edition started earlier this month.
"The owner of the 'Galle Marvels' team in the Lanka T10 Super League, was arrested and will be produced before court on Friday," Police said after the arrest came following a complaint lodged by a teammate, an overseas player from the West Indies who had rejected his request to fix a match.
Authorities are now investigating the incident, which has raised concerns about the integrity of the inaugural Lanka T10 tournament. T10 Cricket league has been played in Abu Dhabi as well as in Zimbabwe so far.
