Former Zimbabwe captain Heath Streak was reportedly passed away on Tuesday (August 22). But it can be confirmed that the news was nothing but a hoax.
Heath Streak is regarded as one of the greatest servants of Zimbabwean cricket and led his side for a few years in one of the best eras of Zimbabwean cricket. The player reportedly lost his battle with the illness on Tuesday as various media outlets and a few of his teammates took to social media and announced the news of his passing away.

Streak was a key player for Zimbabwe in the late 1990s and early 2000s, excelling in both Test matches and ODIs. He holds the record for the most wickets by a Zimbabwean in Tests (216) and ODIs (239).
But his former Zimbabwe teammate Henry Olonga has confirmed the player is well alive and still fighting for his life. The former pacer shared a Whatsapp chat screenshot and shared the good news on Wednesday (August 23).
