Darren Hicks Biography

Hicks started entering Para cycling competitions in 2015. He initially took up riding again for rehabilitation purposes. "I just started riding again, for rehab really. Then I enjoyed it. I didn't think I had much of a chance, but I just started training more and riding more and it started to come together," he said.

Hicks is coached by Cam Jennings and is a member of the Norwood Cycling Club in Australia. His dedication to hard work is evident in his achievements. "I don't shy away from hard work, and I think that's one of the reasons why I have achieved all the things I have now," Hicks stated.
