Elie began his cycling journey in 2010. However, it was not until 2021 that he ventured into Para cycling. His introduction to the sport came through his brother, who managed a bike shop in Toulouse. As Elie's vision began to deteriorate, his brother encouraged him to try Para cycling. This encouragement reignited Elie's passion for the sport.

Challenges and Recovery

In 2017, Elie faced a significant setback when he sustained a head trauma during a non-Para cycling event at the Tour de Beaujolais in France. The injury left him in a coma for two days. Despite this challenge, Elie’s determination saw him return to the sport he loves.

Family Influence

Elie credits his family as his primary influence. Their support has been crucial throughout his journey. His brother's role was particularly pivotal in introducing him to Para cycling and motivating him to continue despite his vision impairment.

Current Endeavours

Elie is currently focused on advancing his career in Para cycling under the guidance of his coach, Flavien Arnal. He also works closely with his guide, Michael Guichard, to navigate the challenges of the sport effectively.
