At age 13, she began her journey in cycling. Coming from a sports-loving family, she felt left out during family cycling trips. Determined to join them, she learned to ride a bike. "It wasn't fun to be the only one who couldn't go on a trip with my own family because I couldn't ride a bike," she said.

She studied nursing at Copenhagen University of Applied Sciences in Denmark. However, in December 2022, she left her studies to focus on her cycling career. "I couldn't get enough recovery because I had to devote 37 hours [a week] to my studies, cycle two to three hours a day, recover, and do homework in the evenings," she explained.
She trains under Jesper Hvalsoe at the national level and Mikkel Justesen personally. She is affiliated with Roskilde Cykle Ring in Denmark.
Cycling has played a significant role in her mental health journey. "Cycling has given me a free space and a mental boost. The training releases endorphins in the brain, and that free space that you get when you are cycling is just the best," she shared.
Living with cerebral palsy presents unique challenges for her. "There are just a number of neurological challenges in combining sports with cerebral palsy. It comes down to completely normal planning of where I place my cycling pants, where I place my cycling shoes, where I have my helmet," she noted.
She received the 2024 Helene Elsass Award in Denmark. Additionally, she won the 2023 Minister of Culture's Parasports Award in Denmark.
Looking ahead, she aims to win gold in the road race and at least silver in the time trial at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris.
Her story is one of determination and resilience. From overcoming injuries to balancing education and sports, she continues to inspire many with her dedication and passion for cycling.
