In 2019, an athlete from Nigeria made her debut in powerlifting. She began her journey in 2014 and started training seriously in 2016. Her introduction to Para sport came during a meeting for women with impairments. After trying several sports, she chose to specialise in powerlifting.

Her coach, Patience Igbiti from Nigeria, has been instrumental in her development. She also credits Coach Jude Ihuarulam Chinedu as a significant influence. Her training regime includes regular gym sessions and a focus on powerlifting techniques.
She holds a unique philosophy about disabilities. "Like I used to tell people, disability is a thing of the mind, and I don't believe in the word disability. Instead of using 'disability', I use 'this ability' because I believe that I have a special ability," she says.
Outside of powerlifting, she enjoys singing, attending concerts, and musical performances. She also spends time at the gym to maintain her fitness levels.
Away from sports, she plans to resume her studies. This ambition reflects her desire for personal growth beyond her athletic career.
Her journey from being a typist and hairdresser to becoming an athlete showcases her resilience and determination. Her story serves as an inspiration for many aspiring athletes with physical challenges.
