Felicia Laberer Biography

Feli initially took up swimming because of her brothers. She competed internationally in Para swimming until 2018. However, she wanted to pursue a sport where she could achieve her goal of winning a Paralympic medal. After trying various sports, she found her passion in canoeing.

Achievements and Milestones

At the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo, Feli made history. She became the youngest female canoeist and the second-youngest canoeist of any gender to win a Paralympic medal. She secured a bronze medal in the women's KL3 200m event at the age of 20 years and 114 days.

Current Ambitions

Looking ahead, Feli aims to win a medal at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris. This goal continues to drive her training and dedication to the sport.

Other Activities

Outside of sports, Feli has pursued an apprenticeship as an office management assistant at Helmholtz Zentrum Berlin (HZB). She works in the finance and purchasing departments. Feli appreciates the support and understanding she receives from HZB for her sporting commitments.

Coaching and Club

Feli trains under national coach Andre Brendel and represents SC Berlin-Grunau in Germany. Her training regimen is designed to help her achieve her goals while balancing her professional commitments.
