New Delhi, August 12: The prestigious 64th Subroto Cup International Football Tournament will begin on 19th August 2025, bringing together 106 teams from across India and four international sides to compete in three categories - Junior Boys (U-17), Junior Girls (U-17), and Sub-Junior Boys (U-15). The tournament will run till 25th September, with matches scheduled in New Delhi NCR and Bengaluru.
The event, organized by the Subroto Mukerjee Sports Education Society (SMSES) under the aegis of the Air Force Sports Control Board, is one of India's most prestigious school-level football competitions. First held in 1960, it was named after Air Marshal Subroto Mukerjee, who envisioned the tournament to promote grassroots sports.

The opening ceremony will be held on 19th August in New Delhi alongside the launch of the Junior Girls category. The Sub-Junior Boys tournament will take place in Bengaluru from 2nd to 11th September, while the Junior Boys competition will conclude the event from 16th to 25th September in New Delhi. The closing ceremony will take place on 25th September, coinciding with the Junior Boys final.
This year, more than 200 matches will be played across iconic venues including Ambedkar Stadium, Tejas Football Ground, Subroto Park Football Ground, and Pinto Park Football Ground in Delhi/NCR, and Air Force School Jalahalli, Air Force School Yelahanka, and HQ Training Command Football Ground in Bengaluru.
As part of the Indian Tiger & Tigresses campaign, seven standout players from the tournament will be selected for advanced football training in Germany.
