Aaron Ramsey apologises to Arsenal fans after shocking defeat against Liverpool

London, Aug 30: Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has apologised to the Gunners fans and asked for adoption at the club following the shocking defeat to Liverpool.

Sunday's 4-0 defeat at Anfield was Arsenal's second progressive Premier League loss of the season after 1-0 Stoke upset and the situation has left them, and manager Arsene Wenger, under serious criticism and pressure from fans.

The defeat was one of Arsene Wenger's worst ever displays in his long tenure at the club and many pundits since then have been lambasting the Frenchman to leave the club.

Ramsey, who played in the match, was also arguably among the worst performers as with his clear lack of energy and intensity shortly offering to the disappointment for Arsenal.

And talking after the match, the Wales midfielder came out to apologise to the Arsenal fans and insisted something has to change to get their Premier League title bid back on track.

"We're very disappointed with the way we performed but we have to accept it," Ramsey told the club's official website.

We're sorry to the fans that came up - it's not good enough and we have to do something about it.

"We're going to have to change something if we're to compete this year.

Ramsey also added that Liverpool on that day were on another level and Arsenal should quickly roll out improvements to achieve the required standard like them.

"Liverpool showed what it's going to have to take to compete for the Premier League and we're going to have to do something about it if we're going to do that."

The Gunners, whose victory this term was a 4-3 defeat of Leicester on an opening day, now have to reassess themselves during the international break as it now leaves the Gunners with just three points from three games.
