Aba Football Cup in Akola from Feb 21

Akola, Feb 20 (UNI) The third edition of the R R Aba Football Cup tournament will be held here at the Shashtri Stadium from February 21 to March 5.

The tournament is being hosted by the city-based Indian Social and Research Foundation.

As many as 20 teams, drawm from Goa, Mumbai, Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Jamshedpur, besides Maharashtra, will be particpating, tournament organiser Sandeep Pundkar informed reporters.

The winner of the tournament will receive a cash award of Rs 31,000 while the runner-up will be richer by Rs 21,000.

The tournament has received recognition from the Western India Football Association and the All India Football Federation, Mr Pundkar said.
