ABVP members storm football ground, make players sing national anthem in Jammu

Members of the ABVP stormed a playground in the Jammu university and stopped a football match. A match being played between the students of the university and the Islamic University of Sciences was stopped over disrespect shon to the national anthem.

It is alleged that the ABVP students tried to stop Kashmiri students from taking part in the game. ABVP activists alleged that the students had shown disrespect to the national anthem. The activists then made them stand in attention and sing the national anthem once again.

The students however cried foul and said that they showed no disrespect to the national anthem. When they asked us to stand again, we did just that, the students also said.

The national anthem row is not new to Jammu and Kashmir. Recently a video of a cricket team posing in Pakistan cricket uniform went viral. The video also showed the players singing the national anthem.
