AC Milan Secures Convincing 4-0 Victory Against Udinese To Revive Serie A Hopes

AC Milan achieved a crucial 4-0 win against Udinese, breaking a three-match winless streak. Goals from Rafael Leao and Strahinja Pavlovic helped secure the victory, moving Milan closer to the Serie A top four.

AC Milan secured a much-needed victory with a 4-0 win against Udinese in Serie A, marking their first triumph in nearly a month. This win ended a three-game streak without success across all competitions and brought them within six points of fourth place. The match saw Milan score twice in each half, showcasing their attacking prowess.

Early on, Tijjani Reijnders had an opportunity to score but was thwarted by Maduka Okoye's excellent save. It wasn't until the 42nd minute that Rafael Leao broke the deadlock with a stunning curling shot into the top corner. Shortly after, Strahinja Pavlovic doubled the lead by heading in Christian Pulisic's corner, putting Milan firmly in control before halftime.

AC Milan Triumphs 4-0 Over Udinese

The second half began with an unfortunate incident for Milan as goalkeeper Mike Maignan had to be stretchered off following a collision with teammate Alex Jimenez. Despite this setback, Theo Hernandez extended Milan's lead in the 74th minute. Starting from his own half, he combined with Tammy Abraham to create space and unleash a powerful strike.

Reijnders, who had missed earlier chances, finally found the net late in the game. He scored from close range without any pressure from Udinese's defence, completing the comprehensive victory for Milan. This result moved them to ninth place in Serie A with 51 points after 32 games.

This victory was crucial for Milan as they had only won two of their last seven league matches before this encounter. By completing a season double over Udinese for the first time since 2007-08, they have renewed hope of finishing in the top four this season. Leao's performance was notable as he scored his seventh goal of the season, all away from home.

Milan also achieved their first clean sheet since February 15, ending a nine-match run without one across all competitions. Currently sitting six points behind fourth-placed Bologna, who face Atalanta next, Milan are eager to maintain momentum as they aim for a higher league position.

Udinese remain in 11th place with 40 points following this defeat. As both teams look ahead to their remaining fixtures, Milan will aim to build on this performance while Udinese seek improvement to climb up the table.
