New Delhi, Aug 5: AC Milan CEO Marco Fassone has insisted that the newly cash riched Serie A side are thinking about moves for stars like Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Radamel Falcao as they are still searching for a striker this summer
Milan bought highly rated Portugal international striker Andre Silva only this summer to their forward line, however, are reportedly determined to make another prominent signing before the transfer window closes.
Reportedly on the list of targets for Chinese cash-rich AC Milan Monaco's Radamel Falcao and free agent Ibrahimovic tops the list, but, other options like Torino's Andrea Belotti and Borussia Dortmund's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are also believed to be considered.
''A forward? We are not in a hurry, we are watching many players. We do not want to make a mistake. Many names have also been mentioned, but we do not have to do make a move. We continue to talk about an attacker but we want to manage the times well. Falcao and Ibrahimovic? Until now I've never said no to a name, so I do not even say no to them. They are potential candidates, although some are closer to others than others," Fassone confirmed the rumours.
Falcao faced a difficult time in England with both Manchester United and Chelsea however, since his move to Monaco, the lethal striker again discovered his form. The 31-year-old scored 30 goals in all rivalries last season and played a key part in helping Monaco secure the Ligue 1 title as well as their reach to Champions League Semi-final.
Whereas another target Zlatan who is presently a free operator after United chose not to renew his agreement because of knee damage also completed last season as United's best striker. He scored 28 goals last season and helped the club to win Community Shield, EFL Cup and Europa League.
Milan was also recently heavily linked with Chelsea star attacker Diego Costa who has been labelled as an outcast by manager Antonio Conte. However, the Chelsea striker's legal adviser has now said on Thursday that his customer just wants to join his former club Atletico Madrid which is all but confirmed Costa's discarded move to Milan.
