AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie wants to play for the Red Devils

London, Feb 26: On-loan AC Milan midfielder Frank Kessie has stated that the player would be more than happy if Jose Mourinho fulfils his dream and make him into a Manchester United star this summer.

Milan signed the Ivory Coast midfielder on a two year's loan deal from Atlanta this season after the player delivered a blistering campaign for the Italian side in the last term, their most successful season ever, finishing 4th in Serie A with 72 points, winning 21 games.

Kessie played 30 matches in the season for them in the league and registered six goals and three assists while playing in the midfield and seeing his potential, Milan did not hesitate to sign him quickly.

Since arrival, the 21-year-old midfielder also has become a regular member of the Milan side. The once European giants have struggled this season in Serie A but the box-to-box midfielder has been drawing attention from all around the continent after several impressive performances as he has already registered four goals with a further five assists over 37 matches in all competitions.

Earlier there were reports that clubs like Chelsea and Roma are monitoring his progress and already made an enquiry for the player.

But the player now has opened up to his desired destination and has delivered a message to the Theatre of Dreams by insisting that he wants to play for the Red Devils.

"I did not hear any rumours around Roma, as I was at the Africa Cup of Nations and so focused only on playing," Kessie told Tuttomercatoweb.

"I like the Premier League and in particular Manchester United, the club I dream of playing for. Chelsea? That is also a big club, nobody would turn them down, but I dream of United."

United are expected to strengthen their central midfield in the summer and with reports emerging of Carrick's retirement and Marouane Fellaini's decision of leaving the club at the end of the season, Kessie's transfer plea will surely hand the Red Devils a positive indication who are also reportedly looking at Napoli midfielder Jorginho and Lazio ace Milinkovic Savic as potential recruitments.
