Administrator's Challenge Cup Football entry date extended

Chandigarh, Aug 2 (UNI) The Chandigarh Sports Department has extended entry date for the fifth Administrator's Challenge Cup All-India Football Tournament to be played from September one to nine at the Sector 42 and Sector 17 Football Stadium here.

''On the request from a number of teams, the last date for receiving the entries is extended up to August 10,'' said Joint Director Sports Dr J P S Sidhu.

He said that 14 teams, including 10 from other states had already confirmed their participations in the nine-day competitions which will be played on league-cum-knockout basis.

Srinagar Football Association, Daman and Diu Football Association, Rajasthan State Football Association and Mizorram SSA Football team would be staking their claims for top honours.

Other outstation entries are received from Services, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu Football Association, Punjab Football Association and Orissa Football Association.

Local teams who have sent their confirmation are St Stephen's Football Academy, Sanjay Public School Football Academy, New Public School Football Academy and holders Chandigarh Football Academy.
