India's trouble at AFC Asian Cup 2023 further aggravated on Tuesday (January 17) as key forward Lallinzuala Chhangte and reserve goalkeeper Amrinder Singh were reportedly added to the injury list on the eve of the India vs Uzbekistan match at the Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium in Al Rayyan.
India already went to the AFC Asian Cup 2023 in Qatar with a number of key misses due to injuries while creative midfielder Sahal Abdul Samad has also been struggling to stay fit for the group stage matches, missing the Australia match at this same venue earlier.

AFC Asian Cup 2023: India Injury Update
As per Sportstar, Lallinzuala Chhangte and Amrinder Singh skipped the training session on the eve of the match. Head coach Igor Stimac said during the pre-match press conference that there are additions to the list but won't reveal their names yet.
Earlier Akash Mishra was reported to be injured as well. The coach already had to deal with Ashique Kuruniyan, Anwar Ali, and Jeakson Singh's injuries. He had to leave these three key players behind before the start of the campaign. Even then, they still had more injury concerns.
Sahal Abdul Samad flew with an ankle issue which is yet to recover. Sahal missed their last match against the Socceroos. The coach confirmed again during the pre-match press conference that Sahal is still not fit.
Akash Mishra reportedly added his name to the list when he sustained an injury during a training session. Hence, both Sahal and Mishra could miss this next match. Their absence will affect India as they go for a more attacking approach.
The Blue Tigers are determined to win this match. Hence, they will be going for a more attacking lineup. Both Sahal and Mishra are good in the final third. Hence, India will have to work harder in their absence for a win.
AFC Asian Cup 2023: Uzbekistan Injury Update
The biggest injury blow that's set to concern Uzbekistan is of their best player Eldor Shomurodov. The player who is called 'Uzbek Messi’ sustained a leg injury in mid-December. It will take him time to recover from his metatarsal fracture.
The Serie A player who is currently the highest goalscorer for Uzbekistan could not travel to Qatar. His absence already affected the White Wolves in their last match. Even though they dominated against Syria, they couldn't score any goals.
