India delivered a promising performance in their maiden AFC Asian Cup 2023 game against Australia. Even so, they lost the game by a 0-2 margin and need to do better to win against Uzbekistan in their next match.

The Blue Tigers displayed a brilliant defensive show in their last match. They will look to loosen up a little against Uzbekistan. However, India will still have to look out for a few star players in Uzbekistan’s midst.

Abdukodir Khusanov

Abdukodir Khusanov is probably the biggest asset for Uzbekistan at this moment. The 19-year-old currently plays for RC Lens. He started for them in 5 Ligue 1 games and came off the bench in 2 Champions League games.

He has played in 8 games for the Uzbekistan football team so far. He also featured for them against Syria in their first AFC Asian Cup 2023 game. He was probably the best player on the ground for the White Wolves.

Abbosbek Fayzullaev

Abbosbek Fayzullaev is another amazing talent who won last year's Footballer of the Year title from the Uzbekistan FA. He plays for the Russian top-flight club CSKA Moscow and is amazingly creative in attack.

The youngster didn't start for them in their last match against Syria, but came off the bench. The 20-year-old was a constant threat to the Syrian defense since he joined them at the beginning of the 2nd half.

Oston Urunov

Oston Urunov came 2nd in the nomination to win last year's Uzbekistan Footballer of the Year title. He was an asset to his club Navbahor last season. He scored 3 goals and assisted twice for the club in the AFC Champions League.

Similar to Fayzullaev, Urunov is also amazingly creative in the final third along with having good pace and strength. As a result, even though he's not an out-and-out striker, he's used in that position for Uzbekistan.
