East Bengal will take part in the upcoming AFC Challenge League, the third tier of Asian club football competition.
After a Kalinga Super Cup win last season, the Kolkata club played the qualifiers for the AFC Champions League 2, but suffered a defeat at the hands of Turkmenistan club Altyn Asyr, which has led them to play in the AFC Challenge League.

East Bengal are slotted in Group A of the competition, along with Nejmeh SC of Lebanon, Bashundhara Kings of Bangladesh and Paro FC of Bhutan. The Bhutanese club has been handed the hosting rights for the group stages of the competition.
AFC released that the group matches will be played in a one-week window in October-November. And now the schedule has been released.
East Bengal will take on home team Paro FC in the very first match of the group on October 26. Their next match is against Bashundhara Kings while the final group match will be up against Lebanese outfit Nejmeh.
October 26: East Bengal vs Paro FC
October 29: Bashundhara Kings vs East Bengal
November 1: East Bengal vs Nejmeh SC
Although Paro FC play their matches at the Woochu Sports Arena, sources close to the club said MyKhel that the AFC Challenge League matches won't be played in Paro.
The AFC Challenge League matches of Group A will be played at the Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu, while the Changjiji Stadium in Thimphu may also host matches.
