Airhostess molestation: Footballers granted bail

Mumbai, Jan 6: The three members of the Goan football team, who were accused of molesting a SpiceJet airhostess and misbehaving with other members of cabin crew, have been granted bail on a personal bond of Rs 5000 each.

Police arrested two Nigerians Odafe Okolie (25) and Ogba Kalu (20) along with the goalkeeper Arindam Bhattacharya (20) on Tuesday, Jan 5 night, after they were offloaded at Mumbai airport.

They have been accused of pushing and teasing an airhostess of the SpiceJet flight they were flying to Kolkata in.

The three footballers, belonging to the Churchill Brothers football club, have been booked under the charges of outraging the modesty of a woman.

While officials say that the three players pushed one of the female crew members and Odafe tried to misbehave with her, the Nigerian player insists that he is 'innocent'.
