Ajax Bolsters Defence With Season-Long Loan Signing Of Daniele Rugani

Ajax have secured Daniele Rugani on a season-long loan from Juventus. The 30-year-old defender, who earned seven caps for Italy between 2016 and 2018, struggled for regular playing time at Juventus. Last season, he made only 17 Serie A appearances, contributing to four clean sheets. He won 39 of his 81 duels and regained possession 44 times.

Rugani's addition brings valuable experience to Ajax's young defence. "This way the team will be better balanced," said technical director Alex Kroes. His arrival is expected to strengthen the squad's defensive capabilities significantly.
