Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr suffered a massive loss in the Saudi Pro League as they lost 1-0 to title rivals Al Ittihad on Thursday (March 9).

At a top-of-the-table clash at the King Abdullah Sports City, Al Ittihad prevailed with a narrow 1-0 victory over Al-Nassr and thus reclaimed the top spot in the Saudi league table. Brazilian winger Romarinho scored the solitary goal of the match 10 minutes from time to give Al Ittihad a crucial victory.

Ittihad, with the win, now have 47 points after 20 games, one point more than Ronaldo's Al-Nassr. With just 10 games left to play, the race for the Saudi football crown intensifies with the result.

How Cristiano Ronaldo played vs Al-Ittihad

Cristiano Ronaldo started the crucial game against Al-Ittihad but was mostly ineffective throughout the game. The defense of Ittihad tackled him extremely well as the Portuguese's opportunity was limited.
