Alexis Sanchez demands £400k-a-week to stay at Arsenal

Arsenal superstar Alexis Sanchez could reportedly commit his future to the club finally after a long transfer saga.

Alexis Sanchez demands £400k-a-week to stay at Arsenal

Arsenal, Aug 28: Things are not going well for Arsenal at all at the moment. They were utterly humiliated by Liverpool an Anfield on Sunday (August 27) as the much-anticipated Premier League encounter between the two sides finished in a 4-0 win for the Reds which could have easily been more emphatic.

Arsenal were completely outplayed by Liverpool in the game which puts Arsenal in a tight corner already in the Premier League with just three points in three games.

However, there is still a good piece of news for the Arsenal fans as their superstar Alexis Sanchez could reportedly commit his future to the club finally after a long saga.

As per the English media, Sanchez is demanding £400,000-a-week to commit his future to Arsenal which is an astounding sum.

The Chilean, who has been heavily linked with Manchester City and a host of clubs across Europe as well, has entered the final 12 months of his current contract and has snubbed all extension offers put to him so far.

The future of the Chilean talisman at the Emirates Stadium has remained uncertain following his refusal to renew his contract with the north London club.

The Chilean forward had earlier snubbed a £300,000 a week offer from the Gunners. And, he is demanding to soar clear as the Premier League’s top earner if he is to commit to a new contract.

The Manchester City target, 28, would eclipse the current highest-paid player in the top flight – Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba, who is on £290,000 a week should he sign a new contract.

However, things could take a significant twist after Arsenal’s humiliation against Liverpool yesterday where Sanchez failed to make much of an impact and was withdrawn early.

The Chilean’s frustration was visible at the closing hours of the game when he was on the bench and he might very well change his mind.
