Amad Diallo is optimistic about getting more playing time at Manchester United this season. The Ivorian forward aims to remain with the club for many years. Last season, injuries hampered his progress, and manager Erik ten Hag often chose Antony or Alejandro Garnacho over him.
Despite limited appearances, Diallo made significant contributions, including a memorable injury-time winner against Liverpool in the FA Cup. This goal was one of the highlights of United's season. The 22-year-old is confident about increased involvement this term after discussing his future with Ten Hag.

Diallo shared his excitement about the upcoming season, expressing faith in the manager. "I am so excited, I believe in the manager," he said. "I know last season I didn't play a lot but this season is going to be a good season for everyone and motivated to start the season." He added that their conversation was positive and filled with encouraging words.
When asked if he had thought about leaving Manchester United, Diallo responded: "I'm very happy here. I think everyone is happy with me because I smile with everyone, good energy. Why not stay here all my life?"
Diallo's goal against Liverpool in the FA Cup remains a significant moment for him and the club. Reflecting on it, he said: "Yeah, so many times. That goal was the most important goal of my life. I was very happy to score the goal. Even now I can't believe it."
The strike has become part of United folklore, especially since it helped propel the team to win the competition. Diallo continues to cherish that moment as a career highlight.
Although Diallo is versatile across the frontline, he feels most comfortable as a right winger. He explained: "My first position was number 10 when I was at Atalanta. After that, a right winger, but I can play number 10, left winger; I can play everywhere in the forward line." He emphasised that right-winger remains his favourite position.
Diallo hopes to feature in United's next pre-season match against Real Betis in San Diego. His adaptability and enthusiasm make him a valuable asset for Manchester United as they prepare for the new season.
"Right winger [is my favourite]. I have played there for a long time. That is my best position. I am more comfortable in that position," he reiterated.
The young forward's determination and positive outlook suggest that he could play a more prominent role for Manchester United this season.
