Ruben Amorim expressed frustration after Manchester United's 2-2 draw with Liverpool, questioning why his team couldn't replicate that performance in other matches. Despite the draw, United have not won at Liverpool in their last 10 visits, with five draws and five losses.

Under Amorim's leadership, United have only secured eight points from nine Premier League matches, winning just twice. However, they showed improvement by coming back to beat Manchester City recently. The inconsistency of the team has been a concern for Amorim, who mentioned this issue during an interview with Sky Sports after the game.

Amorim was asked if United were disappointed not to win against Liverpool. He responded: "Yes, because the expectations were so much different than what we saw during the game. I think I get more mad because of the other games so it's even harder to understand some things." He emphasized that the problem wasn't tactical or technical but something else entirely.

The coach felt that the team should be more disappointed with their performance against Liverpool compared to other recent losses against teams like Newcastle and Bournemouth. Harry Maguire missed a significant opportunity to secure a win in stoppage time, which added to Amorim's frustration.

United focused their attacks on Liverpool's right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, directing 54% of their offensive plays down his side. Amorim praised his team's competitive spirit and defensive solidity during the match. He stated, "If we play against Liverpool every day we will do that," highlighting the need for consistent effort against all opponents.

Despite being pleased with certain aspects of their performance, Amorim remains unhappy with the overall result and is particularly frustrated by previous games' outcomes. His comments reflect a desire for his team to maintain high standards consistently across all matches.
