Ruben Amorim Questions Marcus Rashford's Advisors Amid Transfer Speculation At Manchester United

Ruben Amorim has raised concerns about the decisions made by Marcus Rashford's advisors regarding his future at Manchester United. With Rashford's recent comments about seeking a new challenge, Amorim aims to focus on improving the player's performance.

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has expressed concerns about Marcus Rashford's advisors following recent remarks about the player's future at the club. Rashford, in an interview with Henry Winter, mentioned seeking a new challenge after being excluded from the Manchester City match. Since then, he has missed three consecutive matchday squads, including losses to Tottenham and Bournemouth.

Amorim is eager to distinguish between Rashford's on-field performance and off-field decisions made by his entourage. He aims to reintegrate Rashford into the team and enhance his skills. "It's a hard situation. I understand these players have a lot of people around them, making choices that are not the first idea from the player," Amorim told Sky Sports.

Amorim Questions Rashford's Advisors on Transfers

This season, only Amad Diallo and Bruno Fernandes have contributed more goals than Rashford in the Premier League. Despite this, Amorim remains focused on improving Rashford's game. "We need a talented guy like Marcus and I forget the interview now. We will deal with the future when the time comes," Amorim added.

The Portuguese manager initially cited various reasons for leaving Rashford out of key matches, including training performance and team engagement. These factors were considered before excluding him and Alejandro Garnacho from the Manchester derby.

Manchester United aims to bounce back against Wolves on Boxing Day while starting in 13th place, their lowest Premier League position at Christmas. Historically, United has excelled on Boxing Day with 22 wins and 74 goals in the Premier League.

The Red Devils have also won seven of their last eight league encounters with Wolves, except for a 1-0 defeat in January 2022. However, under Amorim's leadership, they have lost three of six league matches.

Rashford has managed three goals in six appearances under Amorim across all competitions. The manager hopes to see improved results as they face Wolves next.
