Ruben Amorim has advised Manchester United to concentrate on their own performance rather than the dissatisfaction at Old Trafford. This follows a 3-0 defeat by Bournemouth, led by Andoni Iraola, where Dean Huijsen scored first, followed by goals from Justin Kluivert and Antoine Semenyo. This loss places United in the lower half of the table during Christmas for the first time since 1989-90.
United's defensive problems are evident as they have conceded 17 set-piece goals in the Premier League this year, excluding penalties. This is their highest number in a single calendar year. Despite these challenges, Amorim remains determined to improve the team's performance and urges his players to ignore external pressures.

Amorim acknowledged the difficulty of securing consecutive wins after a recent victory over Manchester City. He noted that nerves were apparent during the match against Bournemouth, especially after conceding a penalty and another goal. "We tried to score some goals but it was a tough match so let's move on," he stated.
Bournemouth's win propelled them to fifth place in the league standings. Iraola praised his team's solid performance, highlighting Kepa Arrizabalaga's contributions in possession and positioning. "I think we've been quite solid, it was a mature performance," Iraola commented on their display.
Iraola also expressed satisfaction with his team's clinical finishing and ability to score from set plays. He valued their current points tally of 28 as a good achievement at this stage of the season. "At Christmas, it is a good amount," he added.
Amorim emphasized the importance of controlling games better after setbacks like penalties. He believes focusing on their tasks rather than external feelings is crucial for success. "We have to focus on the job and not what you feel in the stadium," Amorim explained.
Despite recent struggles, Amorim remains committed to pushing for victories until the end of the season. He acknowledges that suffering may be part of the process but insists they will continue striving for success.
