During FC Barcelona's Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain last week, PSG's French midfielder Blaise Matuidi revealed about a chat he had with Iniesta.

Talking Le10 Sport, Matuidi said that during the match, he had a very casual chat with the Spanish midfielder.
Pointing at his teammate Marco Verratti, Matuidi told Iniesta that he is his successor to which the midfield maestro approved.
Matuidi was quoted: "When Verratti was down on the ground [with an injury], I said to him [Iniesta] that he was his successor.
"He said to me: 'Yeah, that's what I think [too]',"
At 32, Andres Iniesta's time with Barcelona is almost up now. He might play for another 2 seasons maximum.
The midfielder has already slowed down and is losing his on-field magic with time. At such a juncture, Barcelona have to find a perfect successor to Andres Iniesta. Everyone knows that it will not be an easy boot fill in.
Marco Verratti has been linked with Barcelona for a long time. Every season, the fans get to hear the transfer rumour but till date, it has never materialised.
Now that Iniesta himself has agreed that Verratti is his natural successor, the rumours will once again start linking Verratti to Barcelona.
