Are Manchester United planning to buy in January Window? Ruben Amorim gives Latest Update

Discussions center on midfield reinforcements, but no deals are imminent. Amorim emphasizes sticking to the current process amid a tight Premier League race.

Are Manchester United planning to buy in January Window Ruben Amorim gives Latest Update

Ruben Amorim stated there are "no conversations" about squad changes in January, shifting from earlier "we will see" remarks.

"The transfer window is not going to change. We have no conversations in this moment to have any change in the squad," the United head coach said ahead of the Leeds match.

"There is a process, there is an idea. That is going to continue. We are near the places of the Champions League, but we are near also eight teams behind us, so let's focus on the next game, just that," he added.

Despite absences of players like Bryan Mbeumo, Amad Diallo, and Noussair Mazraoui at AFCON, plus injuries to Bruno Fernandes and others, Amorim remains unoptimistic about reinforcements. The United manager also confirmed that they are planning to sell no players in the winter window.

United's summer 2025 signings like Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo, and Matheus Cunha followed exits of Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho. AFCON impacts persist, but Amorim insists policy won't shift for it. Interest in Antoine Semenyo faded as he pursued Manchester City.
