Argentina are set to play against Colombia in the Final of the Copa America 2024. After a fantastic campaign so far, the two South American powerhouses will be aiming for championship glory.
Lionel Messi, who has already helped Argentina secure the 2021 Copa America and the 2022 World Cup, is aiming for a third consecutive major tournament win. Despite a slow start in this tournament, he finally scored his first goal against Canada in the semi-finals after four games and 12 shots.

A muscle injury had sidelined Messi during Argentina's third group-stage match against Peru. However, he has assured fans that he is now fully fit and ready for the final. "With Canada I felt very good physically," Messi told Dsports.
Lionel Messi has issued a warning to Colombia ahead of the Copa America final, stating that his earlier injury concerns are now behind him. The Argentine star is eager to lead his team to another major victory on Sunday at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium.
"In the last match, I lost my fear, I felt better and for the final, I will feel even better," Messi said ahead of the match. It clearly denotes that the Argentina talisman will surely start against Colombia in the final.
Messi is also set to make history by becoming the first player to feature in five Copa America finals. He previously led Argentina to victory three years ago after experiencing losses in the 2007, 2015, and 2016 finals. He currently shares this record with Javier Mascherano, who also played in four finals.
