The World Champions Argentina will play two friendlies in March, the first of which is against El Salvador. It is going to be a part of their Copa America preparation.

Date and Time: The match will be played on Friday (March 22). In India, the match will start at 5:30 am IST on Saturday (March 23).

Venue: The El Salvador vs Argentina friendly will be played at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.

Argentina have been excellent in the last year or so. Los Albicelestes have won nine out of their last ten matches across all competitions and have been a force since their third World Cup crown in 2022.

Will Lionel Messi play vs El Salvador?

Argentina will be without the services of their captain talisman Lionel Messi for these friendly matches. Messi is out with a hamstring injury and won't play any part in the upcoming two friendly matches.

"Lionel Messi will not be in the squad for the friendlies in the U.S. due to a minor right hamstring injury sustained in the Inter Miami game against Nashville," the AFA announced on X.

Messi has been a force for his country but him missing the match may not cause a huge problem for Argentina as they are expected to win against El Salvador. The likes of Angel Di Maria, Lautaro Martinez, Julian Alvarez are expected to play in the match.
